“Who Is It” (iTunes Session) by Bon Iver // Originally by Bjork
Finally, a pristine recording of Bon Iver covering the Bjork track, “Who Is It?”. This was played many times on the last Bon Iver tour, but Justin Vernon and the band hadn’t laid down a proper recording until this iTunes in studio session. It’s a great version complete with break beats and coolbreeze sax solo.

Happy birthday, Merle.
So far it’s been a great summer for new music. A lot of great bluesy jams and some phenomenal rock albums to boot. This week we saw a lot returns from some well established names. Streams attached. Have a great day!

Electronic vets Hot Chip knock their fifth LP out of the park with cascading rhythms and the cheery disposition that is best known to start you off a little confused and then takes you straight into a midday dance party.

Now onto his third, Kristian Mattson aka The Tallest Man On Earth has placed some serious Lo-Fi elements into his acoustic blues. Halfway between the garage and the Swedish pop we all know and love him for.
Guided by Voices Class Clown Spots a UFO

It doesn’t seem at this point that the garage punk grandaddies are going to lose any acceleration in their career. Robert Pollard and company still hold fast to their “20 songs or more” style to writing albums, but just because they’ve been around the block a few times doesn’t mean they don’t know where they’re going musically.
